Leaf Peeping Bishop CA

Beth and I went leaf peeping near Bishop Ca in October 2022. On this trip it was our second opportunity to take the trailer Roger built out. We camped at Bishop Creek Park Campground. The name is a bit deceiving, the campground has a little more than 18 sites, but only a handful that can accommodate campers. We have stayed at the campground before, but last time we were in a tent. We arrived Friday around 4 pm, upon arrival there were about four sites available for campers. Within the hour they were all gone. We picked a site that was easy to back up the trailer. Roger is still learning the intricacies of navigating backward with the camper. With that said, we got the trailer in on the first take.

We set up camp and immediately took off on our first leaf-peaping adventure.

Throughout the weekend we visited Lake Sabrina, South Lake, Lake Mary, and Maghee Creek. We drove over the dam for Crowley lake (a first). We were doing reconnaissance for a future trip to the Crowley Lake Columns. We also spent time in Mammoth, having lunch at the Mammoth Brewery.(Recently built or remodeled building)
